The four modules

From a blank page to a board paper. Four sessions. Four weeks.

Each module is a 90-minute live working session – facilitated, not lectured. Across the four weeks, we move you from “we know we need a plan” to “we have a plan our board can approve.”

01

Your carbon footprint, what matters most

We work out your real carbon footprint – across your direct operations and the things that matter in your supply chain – and agree which sustainability issues actually matter for your business. You leave session 1 with an honest baseline you can stand behind in front of a board.

02

Targets, plan and how to pay for it

A clear, costed plan with real numbers – not a wish list. We help you set a target that’s achievable, pick the right funding routes (grants, low-carbon finance, internal budget), and end the session with a six-quarter delivery plan.

03

People & culture playbook

How you actually shift how people work, day to day. What’s expected of each role, how you train them, how you talk about it internally, how it shows up in performance reviews. You leave with a workforce plan that survives a reorganisation.

04

Reporting & investor / lender story

What you say externally – to customers, investors, lenders and tender buyers. Which reporting standard fits you, how the story is told, and a quick check that nothing reads as greenwashing. Output: a drafted board paper ready for sign-off.

Format

Built for senior calendars. Four 90-minute sessions, one week apart.

Each module is a 90-minute live working session – facilitated, not lectured. Pre-work between sessions (about 2 hours each week, scoped to your day-job). On the final day, your board paper is drafted live with your team in the room.

Advisory · For SMEs

Why an SME might want to do this - and what changes if you do.

SMEs often think the Sprint is built for big-corporate boards. It isn’t. The format works just as well for an owner-managed business as for a FTSE 250 board – and the value is often higher because SMEs rarely have a sustainability lead in-house. Below is a quick view of what doing it actually changes for an SME.

01

You stop guessing

Most SMEs we meet have a vague sense of what they should do but no clear picture of where they are. The Sprint replaces “we should probably do something” with a real footprint, a real plan and a real number on the page.

02

You're ready when buyers ask

Larger customers and tender buyers increasingly ask SMEs for carbon and sustainability information. Walking into those conversations with a board-approved plan changes the dynamic immediately.

03

You unlock funding

Most decarbonisation kit (solar, heat pumps, EV, energy efficiency) qualifies for grant funding or low-carbon finance. The Sprint maps which routes apply to you, so the plan is realistically funded – not parked because the capex is daunting.

04

You don't need an in-house team

For four weeks, the Sprint effectively gives an SME leadership team a sustainability lead, a carbon analyst and a strategy advisor in the room together. Cheaper than hiring; faster than waiting.

05

It pays for itself

Across SME engagements, the operational savings the plan finds (energy, waste, logistics, procurement) typically more than cover the cost of the Sprint inside the first year.

06

SME-friendly seats

We hold a small number of discounted SME seats on each cohort intake. Ask in the discovery call – we’ll be honest about whether the cohort or the in-house format makes most sense for your size.

"We'd had three consultants try to write our net-zero strategy. None of them stuck. The Sprint gave us a board paper in four weeks - written by our own team, with the rigour of someone who knew our sector. Approved on first read."

Common questions

Things buyers ask before they commit.

Who is the Sprint for?

Senior leadership teams (typically CEO, COO, CFO, Sustainability Lead, Head of Risk) who need a credible plan they can take to the board – without spending a quarter on it. Cohorts are usually 6–10 senior leaders.

Yes – and arguably more valuable. SMEs rarely have a sustainability lead in-house, and the cost of getting strategy wrong is bigger relative to the business. The Sprint gives an SME leadership team a clear plan, an honest carbon picture, and a board-ready paper in four weeks. We run discounted SME seats on cohort intakes – ask in the discovery call.

Both. The cohort runs quarterly with leaders from non-competing sectors (£6,500-£12,500/cohort). In-house is delivered for your team only. Same content, same outcome, different rhythm.

It’s a 12–15 page document that pulls everything together – your carbon footprint, the issues that matter most for your business, your targets, your funding options, your people plan and your reporting roadmap, plus a six-quarter delivery plan. It’s what your board needs to approve the work and release the budget. You walk out of the Sprint with one drafted, ready to sign off.

Yes – a 30-minute call and a one-page form so we know your business before the first session. About 2 hours of light pre-work between each module.

Then the Sprint probably isn’t the right fit – look at the Sustainability Package instead. The Sprint is a starting point, not a refresh.
