One Earth Education is a sustainability consultancy and training business based in Denbigh, North Wales, working with organisations across the UK and internationally. In five years we have grown from a local consultancy into a multi-disciplinary partner spanning sustainability strategy, carbon and net-zero work, environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting, renewables and funding, and CPD-accredited training. We work with businesses, public bodies, schools and communities alike, helping them make sense of sustainability and act on it. Our belief is simple: done well, sustainability saves money, wins work and builds trust, rather than adding cost.

Why we exist
Too much sustainability work is either abstract, jargon-heavy or quietly overstated. We set out to do the opposite: practical, evidence-based support that helps real organisations understand their impact, reduce it, and turn that progress into something they can stand behind, commercially and credibly.
Our mission is to make sustainability achievable, affordable and evidence-based for every kind of organisation, from a family-run business to a national public body, and to bring the next generation with us. We keep the language plain, the claims honest, and the focus firmly on what an organisation can actually do next.

Our programmes are grounded in a partnership with the Low Carbon Eco-Innovatory at Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Liverpool, so the thinking behind them is externally informed, not self-certified.

Credibility & partners
Our flagship Net-Zero Horizons programme has helped businesses across the region begin their sustainability journey, and our academic partnership with the Low Carbon Eco-Innovatory gives that work its scientific footing. We also work alongside partners including Business Wales and Cadwyn Clwyd, and our courses are CPD-accredited.
The clearest picture of what we do is in the work itself, from whole-site training and carbon reporting to public-sector strategy and community sustainability.
Community & international ambition
Community impact matters to us. Alongside our commercial work we contribute pro-bono support to local organisations, such as completing a community football club’s sustainability strategy free of charge, because a credible net-zero transition has to include the organisations that cannot always pay for it.
Our ambition also reaches further afield. Through our sister organisation, One Earth Academy International, and its Climate Kids Academy, we are taking environmental education to schools and communities internationally, helping the next generation grow up fluent in sustainability. It is the same mission on a wider stage: practical, evidence-based, and built to last.
Our founder
One Earth Education was founded by Tom Powell, who grew the business from its North Wales base into the multi-sector partner it is today. Tom is now based in the United Arab Emirates, where he holds a non-executive role and focuses on the group’s international ambition, including the work of One Earth Academy International and its Climate Kids Academy.
Day to day, One Earth Education is run by our UK-based team, keeping the business close to the clients and communities it serves across Wales and the wider UK.
