Net Zero Horizons: Colomendy Industrial Estate

Welcome to the Net Zero Horizons Project

At One Earth Education, we’re excited to launch the Net Zero Horizons project, a fully-funded initiative aimed at transforming the Colomendy Industrial Estate into a model of sustainability and carbon neutrality.

This project, in collaboration with Cadwyn Clwyd and supported by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, is designed to be a seamless and supportive journey towards sustainability for your business.

Our Mission

The Net Zero Horizons project is dedicated to guiding up to 40 businesses in the Colomendy Industrial Estate towards sustainability at no cost to them. Our mission is to replicate this model widely, demonstrating how companies can effectively embark on their net-zero journey.

We offer a tailored approach, recognising that every business has unique needs. Drawing from our rich experience in similar projects, we aim to provide the specific support each company requires to achieve sustainability. This project is about meeting current environmental standards and setting a new benchmark for sustainable business practices across regions.

We’re eager to work with businesses at any stage of their sustainability journey. By joining us, you’re taking a step towards reducing your environmental impact and contributing to a broader movement for a sustainable future.

What We Offer

Our fully funded services include:

  • Carbon Footprint Assessments: We will conduct comprehensive assessments for each participating business, offering a clear understanding of their environmental impact and identifying critical areas for improvement.
  • One-to-One Consultancy: We will provide personalised consultancy services, offering expert advice on renewable energy installations and sustainable practices. This includes assistance in drafting specifications for renewable energy solutions like solar panels and heat pumps.
  • Decarbonisation Hub: A physical and virtual hub will be established as a central point for collaboration, learning, and support, further solidifying the community’s commitment to sustainability.
  • Custom-Built Training Programs: Our CPD-certified training programs will be tailored to the specific needs of each business, ensuring relevance and practical application. These programs will cover a range of topics from basic carbon awareness to advanced sustainability strategies.
  • Access to Additional Funding: Recognising the financial challenges in adopting sustainable technologies, we will guide businesses in accessing additional funding opportunities for installing solar panels, batteries, and other renewable solutions.
